All Thanksgiving Day races in Atlanta are being held on Thursday, November 27th
In Atlanta the holiday tradition starts of the day with running, races and family fun, no matter what the age. The 2014 Atlanta Half Marathon is one of the nation’s largest marathons and is presented by Northside Hospital. This year will be the first year ever the Atlanta Track Club will be offering prize money for the race.
Here is all the info needed on the Thanksgiving Day races:
Ages 14 & up
Capitol Ave & Hank Aaron Drive
The Thanksgiving Day 5K
Ages 8 & up
The Mashed Potato Mile
Ages 7 & up
Ages 6 & under
The Atlanta Track Club will be holding a clothing drive and runners are asked to wear warm up items that can be donated at the start of the race which in turn will be donated to local area shelters.
